On November 13thM-Tech, Marine Technologies in conjunction with Bellingham Marine, worldwide marina builder, and the Derwent Sailing Squadron celebrated the opening of their new Unifloat® floating marina.
Bellingham Marine was contracted by the club in March 2015 to build a new state of the art 145-berth floating marina to compliment the club’s existing fixed marina. Concurrently, the club engaged Tas Marine Constructions to install a new 250m long concrete panel wave screen to protect the new marina.
The club’s new marina, located at Sandy, Bay in Hobart, includes 145-berths, M-Tech were contracted to manufacture supply and install 79 Sterling pedestals, all supplied with 15 and 32 amp supplies, pulsed remote enabled KWH meters, water services and LED illumination.
The Sterling range was the perfect choice for the club, as its sleek anodized aluminum profile allows for the final touch to any world class sailing club.
Since construction commenced the club has experienced and unprecedented level of enquiries regarding both berth sales and membership.
