M-Tech XL Pedestals 18 Years Service for Soldiers Point Marina

Soldiers Point Marina is one of only seven marinas in the world to be awarded the coveted Platinum Anchor accreditation under the Global Gold Anchor Scheme. Constructed in 2002 by Bellingham Marine Australia, XL Service Pedestals manufactured by M-TECH were installed to provide each of the berths with metered power and filtered water connections ranging from 20 amp to 125 amp, Foxtel and free to air connections and wireless internet.

Due to the comprehensive maintenance schedule carried out daily, the pedestals are now well into there 18th year of service and still look fantastic.

The first XL Pedestal was manufactured and patented in 1977 and is still being installed on marinas worldwide to this day. Due to the manufactured parts longevity and the ability to connect multiple services into one service unit.

XL units are manufactured from marine grade aluminium anodised too 25 microns. After the extruding process, robotic jigs insert over 60 different fixing holes to be utilised later for internal brackets etc.

Available in a host of different sizes from the standard 250 range to the 990mm version for superyacht supplies providing electrical power rated at 15 to 1000 amps per phase and above.
