Akuna Bay 100 Platinum Pedestals
M-TECH, Marine Technologies, has completed the manufacture of over a hundred 1100mm Platinum Marina Service Pedestals for the d’Alboras group of Marinas, Australia’s largest marina operator.
The pedestals are destined to be installed within the Akuna Bay 190 berth marina located in the picturesque Hawkesbury and Cowan River in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Akuna is the Aboriginal reference for ‘flowing water’; which is fitting to the Cowan and Hawkesbury River systems which combine in this idyllic location.
Working closely with Mr Brett Bolton CEO of d’Alboras Marinas to deliver the products to suit the project requirements, M-Tech are proud to have been chosen to carry out the manufacture of the marina service pedestals.
The Platinum pedestals have been manufactured to a IP65 rating inclusive of anodised 25 microns’ aluminium extrusions, valox & tirex UL approved UV stable pedestal lid, lens & diffusers, finished with silver composite exterior panels. And the new Platinum glass reinforced engineered thermoplastic base, meeting all relevant ISO standards.
The pedestals will supply vessels with a range of various electrical socket outlets from 15-amp single phase upto 125 amp three phase, all protected by the ABB switchgear. Each pedestal will also have 316 water marked AS approved stainless steel water taps and the M-Tech 42 chip LED 360 degrees’ illumination.
The management of both energy and water consumption has also been taken into account with NMI Pattern Approved IEC 62053-21 Class 1meters and water meters with the standard RS485 port and Modbus RTU protocol a vital component of an intelligent, multifunction monitoring solution for any energy management systems. M-Tech are world leaders in this type of metering for both marina and caravan parks and within the next few months will be unveiling a system that will totally revolutionize any existing systems in the market place to date.
